Makoto Takano initiated support for the API Takano Fellowship Program

Asia Pacific Initiative (API) is a program brand of the International House of Japan (I-House) that succeeded the private and independent think tank of the same name under the two organizations’ merger in July 2022.

Takano serves as a trustee of I-House. At Asia Pacific Initiative (API), the “API Takano Fellowship” program was established to nurture the next generation of leaders in foreign and security policy by sending Japanese researchers to IISS-Asia. The program seeks to cultivate globally-minded Japanese think tank professionals capable of making an impact on the international stage. Takano is committed to providing ongoing support for this program and contributing to its success.
